Bonaprene Fluid Power manufacture test rigs for the maintenance and
testing of helicopter hydraulic control systems. These Mobile Hydraulic 
test rigs serve for controlled, on-board flushing and pressure testing 
of the control systems during maintenance or testing.

The Bonaprene Fluid Power test rig is in Particular designed for the 
following tasks:

• Flushing/filtering of aircraft hydraulic system
• Pressure testing of hydraulic system
• Analysing hydraulic system fluid contamination level via a particle analyser

The Bonaprene Fluid Power hydraulic test rig can also act as a portable 
system to fill, empty, or flush the hydraulic fluid in the aircraft. The 
test unit provides a pressure test of up to 3000PSI; this can be modified 
to meet the customer needs. 

The basic test rig can be manufactured to incorporate the following, 
optional, features:

• PLC control for automatic sequenced flushing and pressure testing
• Proportional pressure and/or flow control
• Ability to handle aggressive aerospace fluids such as phosphate esters e.g. Skydrol & Hyjet
• The removal of water removal from system fluids

Overview

The Mobile Hydraulic Test Rig serves for controlled on board flushing 
and pressure testing of helicopters during maintenance and testing and 
is designed for use with hydraulic oil.

The Bonaprene Fluid Power test rig is capable of producing a hydraulic 
source to test aircraft control Systems. It can also act as a portable 
system to fill, empty, or flush the hydraulic Fluid in the aircraft. The 
unit consists of two pumps both of which are driven by a diesel Engine. 
The primary pump is �fed� by the other. Between the two, the fluid is 
filtered and passes through an air blast cooler, driven by a hydraulic 
motor. A Check valve then maintains the pressure to the inlet of the 
main pump.
